Other Computing Resources (NSF ACCESS)

ICER's high-performance computing resources are meant to be flexible, and adapt to a variety of computational research and instruction. However, it is not suitable for all types of work.

When the HPCC is not a good fit, we recommend using ACCESS, a program from the National Science Foundation that gives access to national advanced computing resources at no cost. Allocations can be requested with sufficient justification for a variety of tasks. For details, see ACCESS's Getting Started page.

Getting help

If you would like to learn more about using ACCESS resources or need help getting started, many of ICER's staff are also Campus Champions, serving as representatives at MSU for disseminating information about national advanced computing resources, including ACCESS.
